RALEIGH, N.C. – The North Carolina Federation of College Democrats is hosting multiple debates for Lt. Governor candidates on college campuses across the state. ![]()
All four announced Democratic candidates for the office of Lt. Governor have agreed to an upcoming exchange on March 4 at North Carolina State University. The primary is May.
Debates have also been held at the University of North Carolina in Asheville, Fayetteville State University and Salem College.
Candidates include Winston-Salem City Councilman Dan Besse, State Senator Walter Dalton, Raleigh-based attorney Hampton Dellinger and Canton Mayor Pat Smathers.
The debate will take place at the NCSU McKimmon Center campus at 7 p.m. To submit questions for the candidates, visit the Federation’s website.
