RALEIGH, N.C. — Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue wants another debate with State Treasurer Richard Moore before the upcoming Democratic primary for governor, the Associated Press reports.
Moore agreed Monday to the second meeting. According to the AP, Perdue’s campaign said she has asked for a televised debate, an about-face for the Lt. Governor, who has refused to share the stage with Moore in the past.
Her campaign says she wants a chance to respond to the personal attacks in Moore’s ads. The two candidates are scheduled participate in an online forum Monday night.
