Random Poll Tidbits From

Public Policy Polling this week released some random tidbits from its polling:

-Among voters undecided in a possible Clinton/McCain matchup, 64 percent support Barack Obama and 11 percent support John McCain in a possible Obama/McCain matchup. Among voters undecided in a possible Obama/McCain matchup, 42 percent support Hillary Clinton and 10 percent support John McCain in a possible Clinton/McCain matchup.

According to the PPP blog, this means voters who chose Clinton or Obama in the primary may not be committed to vote Democrat in the general election. But “they’re not for the most part saying they intend to vote for McCain either.”

-Also, 42 percent of the undecideds in a possible McCain/Obama matchup are Democrats, while just 22 percent are Republicans. The numbers are more dramatic in a Clinton/McCain matchup — 64 percent of undecideds are Democrats, while just 14 percent are Republicans.

-Kay Hagan has more room to move up in her match with Elizabeth Dole than Dole does. 55 percent of undecided voters in that race are Democrats, while just 24 percent are Republicans.
