RALEIGH, N.C. — Dozens of local preschoolers will be gearing up for this year’s historic election by hosting “Election Day at Primrose” on Nov. 3.
The students will gather together and learn about the importance of voting and the voting process from their teachers, and listen to children’s book, Duck For President by special guest readers.
City Council Members Mary-Ann Baldwin, Nancy MacFarlane and Rodger Koopman plan to share in the celebration with the Primrose students. The students will then cast their vote for Presidential Snack of the Day in a special voting booth. Votes will be counted and students will enjoy the winning item. The Primrose School of North Raleigh along with Primrose Schools across the country, has created this election event to help teach young children about the importance of voting and the Presidential election, just prior to the Presidential election in November
Waving rally signs touting “Voting Rocks” and “I Love To Vote”, the preschoolers also will recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Additionally, the Primrose School of North Raleigh will be offering tips on how parents can talk to their children about voting and the election.
The event takes place at 10 a.m. Nov. 3 at Primrose School of North Raleigh, 8521 Falls of Neuse Road.
