Pat McCrory says he wants to work with Governor-elect Beverly Perdue when she takes office.
The Charlotte mayor said Monday he’ll also offer constructive criticism of his former rival next year. McCrory narrowly lost to Perdue in last Tuesday’s election for governor.
In an interview, McCrory attributed his defeat in part to Barack Obama’s intense campaigning in the state.
McCrory declined to say whether he’ll seek an eighth term as mayor next year, but added he’s already made a decision. He said he won’t announce it before the first of the year.
