WASHINGTON – Sen. Lindsey Graham says the Senate will not let the U.S. “go down the government-run health care road.”
The South Carolina Republican was on a Sunday morning talk show repeating the charges of those opposed to President Barack Obama’s attempts to overhaul the health care system. Graham said Obama’s plan would let a government bureaucrat stand between people needing treatment and their doctors.
Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., who is heading the reform effort in the Senate, reminded Graham that a new poll showed the 72 percent of Americans want a government role in health care and expressed a willingness to pay higher taxes for that.
The senators appeared on ABC’s “This Week.”

What’s the difference between Government standing between you and your doctor, and one of the mega-health companies doing it. They do it everyday – deny, deny, deny is their favorite “stamp” and up with the premiums. And the Medicare folks, that the same Government is paying less and less for, and premiums rising there.
