LILLINGTON, N.C. — U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington), the only North Carolina member on the House Ways and Means Committee, has accepted an invitation from the State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) to speak on health care reform at 7 p.m. tonight at Central Carolina Community College in Lillington.
The forum is designed to engage public opinion on expanding affordable quality health care for all North Carolinians.
The Congressman accepted the invitation because health care reform is one of the top issues being discussed in North Carolina. The Lillington event follows up on public forums Congressman Etheridge held in May and June of this year before Congress began drafting H.R. 3200, the Securing America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009.
