RALEIGH, N.C. — Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey will be in Raleigh Thursday as part of the McCain-Plain victory tour.

Amrey will stop at Red Hot & Blue, 1900 Hillsborough St. at 5:15 p.m.

His earlier stops include Jacksonville, New Bern and Goldsboro.

Armey served as U.S. Representative from Texas’s 26th Congressional District from 1985 to 2003. He was House Majority Leader from 1995 to 2003. He is credited with helping to organize the 1990s “Republican Revolution,” when Republicans became the majority in both houses of Congress for the first time in more than 40 years.

After the rally the group will encourage everyone to walk/drive to the closest early voting site and cast their vote in support of McCain-Palin and the entire Republican ticket.
