Whether you’re tired of the presidential candidates evading topics during debates or you just want to hear them talk about a subject you’re interested in, Google has a new way to help.
A new Google feature called “Google in Quotes” that lets you pair the candidates and read quotes from them on specific topics, culled from various news reports.
Go to labs.google.com/inquotes to try it out.
You can use the site to check how candidates feel on subjects such as abortion, President Bush, change, education, energy, the environment, immigration, marriage, Social Security, taxes and more. If you don’t find the current quote illuminating, press the “spin” button to get different quotes.
The site defaults to John McCain on one side of the screen and Barack Obama on the other, but you also can select other politicians to pair off in debates, including Sarah Palin, Joe Biden, George W. Bush, John Edwards, Dick Cheney, Hillary Clinton, Condoleeza Rice, Howard Dean and more.
